Warranty Terms & Conditions

Your warranty is provided by Road & Race Motorcycles LTD. We reserve the right to repair your bike before cancelling the order in the unlikely event of failure. It is your responsibility for you to make arrangements for the vehicle to be returned to our service workshop located in Macclesfield, SK11 0LB for diagnostics and repair if required, unless agreed otherwise. The warranty will be void if an unsuccessful repair is carried out by a third party without our prior consent. No other modifications are allowed during the period of your warranty.

Each of our vehicles are carefully inspected in our workshop for functionality of all components and are free of any known issues. All our bikes are compliant to MOT test standards. All bikes come with a minimum of 6 months MOT.

​It is the owner's responsibility to TAX and insure the vehicle. After the 1 months warranty lapse it is your responsibility to keep and maintain the vehicle in a road worthy condition.

WHAT IS COVERED? Parts and labour, as described in the detailed list below. You are covered for major mechanical and electrical failure only for the first 30 days or 1000 miles (whichever comes first) from receiving your motorcycle and signing this wavier.

Parts Covered - Only parts listed under the following headings are included:

​

  • Engine: internal moving parts of the engine including; crankshaft, camshaft, pistons, connecting rods, balance shafts, oil pump, water pump, clutch, gearbox, tensioners and including the cylinder head, engine block and liners (but excluding; burnt out valves and valve seats, burn out clutch plates due to inappropriate use),

  • Electrical system: Voltage regulator, stator, engine control unit (ECU)

​WHAT IS NOT COVERED? Important: Not all parts are covered. No warranty covers ‘everything’ so please do read the terms and conditions in full. Please note your bike is only covered for mechanical issues and not cosmetic. Any parts or items not specifically listed in “Parts Covered” section. The warranty will not cover faults/damage caused by using the motorcycle on a race track circuit or any other kind of race events that puts due strain on mechanical parts other than normal public road use. Inappropriate use causing the engine to overheat, damage caused by doing ‘wheelies’ and/or ‘stoppies’.

  • Damage caused to fairings, body work or paint work

  • Headlights

  • Misuse of incorrect lubricants, oils, fluids and fuel.

  • Tyres

  • Brake pads

  • Burnt clutch friction plates

  • Drive chain

  • Minor issues, that were not present at the date of sale.

  • Using an unauthorised garage for repairs

  • The policy cannot be transferred onto another ownership or another vehicle

In order to comply with our terms & conditions please ensure the motorcycle is well maintained during the period of warranty i.e. warming up the engine oil before going full power, letting the engine oil cooling after going full power.
